About This Litter

INT CH/AKC/UKC Grand CH Rim Rocks Easy Ryder Bags (Ryder) has recently been bred to a heterozygous LUA Dalmatian UKC CH Siobahn HTNUA Bridgette Levine (Bridgette). We expect the pups to be born mid-March and ready to go to new homes in mid to late May.

You can follow this litter 2 ways:

First, via this blog.  Check back regularly to see what’s going on or click on the “Follow us”  link in the upper-right hand corner.  We will be updating the blog regularly.

Second, by following the website http://rimrockdals.webs.com . We expect a mixture of lovely HUA and LUA puppies from this litter. You can learn all about the LUA Dalmatians at www.luadalmatians.com.

Both breeding dogs have been checked for as many health issues as possible.  Ryder and Bridgette both have a CHIC number which means that their hearing is bilateral, eyes are clear from ocular problems and ISD and hips have been cleared as good or better. It is important to have sound minds and sound bodies. Although we are breeding in the hope of producing the “perfect show dog,” health and temperament are the FIRST and FOREMOST priority in our breeding plan. A show career will last only for a couple of years. A dog will be a family member for 12-15 years. If we produce dogs that are beautiful and/or smart, but not pleasant to live with, then we have failed as breeders. All pups will come with their first inoculations, worming, if needed, BAER hearing testing, health certification and micro-chipping for permanent identification. Pet pups are sold on spay/neuter contracts.

While it is preferred for pups to go to homes with fenced yards, that is not an absolute requirement. With the right owner, a non-fenced situation can be as good, if not better, than a fenced yard. We also strongly encourage our puppy folks to go to at least a puppy kindergarten or beginner obedience class. This helps to strengthen the bond between dog and owner and lessen the likelihood of an unsatisfactory placement. All pups will have a “first right of refusal” clause in the contract. This means that for any reason, at any time, if you cannot or do not want to keep the dog, we will take him/her back. No questions asked; no judgments passed. We believe that we brought these pups into this world, that we are responsible for them until the day they leave this world. We are always available to answer questions and provide information. We try to match the puppy and the new owner with each other according to the puppy personality and new owners life style. Therefore the better we get to know you the better equipped we are to place the right puppy in your home.

  1. I am interested in a puppy. I had a Dalmatian for 17 wonderful years, he passed away a year ago.
